meso, in ancient Greek, means that which finds itself in the middle or in the centre.

meso is a new non profit space at the centre of the relationship between the public and creative professionals. meso is a mediator, a facilitator, an accelerator, a collective tool and an organisation existing between the public and professionals.

Creativity is an individual pleasure, an exciting source of discovery, a personal attribute that contributes to progress and the common good, a way of relating, imagining new connections and solutions, and reformulating questions, a resource that we can use to help us to face the major issues of our times, and much more besides.

meso is a mediator between creative stakeholders and audiences.The term ‘mediation’ refers to all the cultural activities that bring creative environments and productions together with the general public.

meso is a place for multidisciplinary, transmedia cultural production, a meeting place that breaks down the barriers between disciplines and audiences. meso acts on behalf of as many people as possible, with initiatives targeted at specific audiences as well as cross-disciplinary initiatives open to all. meso organises:talks, workshops, exhibitions, conferences, open calls for projects, lectures, guided visits, projections, focus sessions, daydream sessions, set design, publishing, music sessions, public awards, etc.

meso’s development is built around a number of key areas: sharing creativity, education in creativity, research and experimentation, the production of new forms, exhibition design, public outreach and mediation activities, networking activities, involvement in the networks of contemporary cultural institutions and international initiatives.
