Comments on the interaction between the filmic images of Laurent Fiévet and space

Extract : « It was at the Palais Masséna that I experienced for the first time watching a video by Laurent Fiévet in the formal setting of an exhibition. Of course, to work on this exhibition, I had viewed some of his images on my computer screen, at home, in the room swollen with books that I call my office. There were notable differences between these two situations. In the first case, Laurent Fiévet had come himself to see the sumptuous places. He had then precisely designed the interaction between his images and the space. In the second, austere and solitary, it had obviously not happened like that. These two situations, although divergent, nevertheless reveal a constant: space had been inexorably involved each time. »
